Prescription opioids are dangerous, addictive, and can be deadly. According to the Arizona Department of Health Services, from June 15, 2017 to February 27, 2020, there have been 4,357 suspect opioid deaths,  36,175 suspect opioid overdoses, and 1,913 diagnosed cases of neonatal abstinence syndrome.
