Prescription opioids are dangerous, addictive, and can be deadly. According to the Arizona Department of Health Services, from June 15, 2017 to December 03, 2021, there have been 11,281 suspect opioid deaths,  81,990 suspect opioid overdoses, and 3,140 diagnosed cases of neonatal abstinence syndrome.
